Your Role As a Data Analyst, you'll develop, validate, interpret, deploy, and document reports required by OURCU managers and end users.
You'll use all available data sources to provide in-depth analyses on product performance and development, member databases, modeling approaches, historical trends, and market and product growth.
You'll use data to develop and maintain a data analytics infrastructure that will both support and advance the long-term strategic plan and annual business plan of OURCU.
Responsibilities In this position, you will:
Create, maintain, and implement reports by working with management, IT, and other departments.
This includes compiling, comparing, and analyzing membership data for target marketing purposes and helping identify markets for existing and new products.
Create a center of information that can be used in other areas of the credit union for reporting and process improvement.
Feedback is important.
Perform quality assurance and essential data audit checks to ensure accuracy of reports.
Measurements must be based both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Communicate with other departments for work procedures or knowledge sharing.
Data governance and documentation is essential.
Part of data analysis is to see what works or doesn't work, whether it is data gathering, reporting or an action plan.
Full documentation of inputs, assumptions and results is required.
Present clear information to managers.
Advocate for the use of data-driven performance management processes throughout OURCU and provide insight and recommendations on business process improvements.
Ensure all relevant information is integrated into analysis.
Along with management, identify areas in the credit union where data analysis could contribute to greater efficiencies to include, but not limited to, increasing revenue, or decreasing expenses.
One should understand the Strategic Business Plan for OURCU.
Other Areas of Work Responsible for preparing reports, mailing lists and comparisons in a timely manner to accommodate deadlines.
Improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability, and value.
Provide research support to assist in evaluating and developing products and services.
Identify data we need to analyze and create a usable report for decision making and provide suggestions for action or change using relevant data.

Improve loan sales, including indirect or CUDL, direct, mortgage (including HELOC), business loans and other types of loans identified.
Identify the products members are using, or not, and make suggestions on increasing member share of wallet or discontinuing products as deemed necessary.
Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained.
Represent OURCU in a professional and confidential manner.
Attend and/or participate in required training and meetings.
Other duties as this position grows.
Knowledge & Skills You Bring Experience Two to three years of similar or related experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses Bachelor's degree in computer science, Finance, or a related field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Interpersonal Skills The best candidate will be courteous, tactful, and diplomatic, as this role requires interaction and teamwork with coworkers, credit union members, and outside organizations, generally regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information.
You must also be discerning and confidential with credit union and member information.

ADA Requirements Physical Requirements Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency.
Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
