Member Service Representative I Full Time Position

Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers checks, money orders, and cash advances. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Performs specific assigned side-jobs and assists other Tellers with a variety of duties as required. Ensures that members are promptly recognized and professionally served. Answers members questions regarding OCCU services provided and performs a variety of accounts maintenance duties. Actively cross-sells OCCU products and services.
Job Openings: 1
Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Additional Skills: Good communication skills. Professional appearance, dress and attitude. Good math skills, the ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone. Good keyboarding skills and comfortable with use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
